I don't know why we were taught RAIN RAIN GO AWAY, COME AGAIN ANOTHER DAY in our childhood days. There is drastic change in the way I look at life when I have my own tiny brain and little heart to choose things. I love these rains, the cool breeze that flows through my cheeks - make me feel that ALL IS WELL irrespective of what kind of stress /monotonous corporate frog race I am in.
The kind of solace and comfort I get in experiencing the little drops falling on my head, and the kind of togetherness people feel when they stand together under the bridges/trees/shops/shelters - they have all the time in the world to feel the warmth of the person standing nearby and/or at least recognize each other as fellow human beings. He/she forgets the otherwise busy/sky falling schedules or things which otherwise could have never stopped during the sunny days.
During the duration of the rain, everyone seems stop doing what they were actually doing- take time from their precious lives and watch the beauty of nature. Bangalore rains are special. They have innate coolness in the breeze and the uncertainty/unpredictability of the showers, gives Bangalore a beauty to cherish in the daily mad rush. I do not understand how people can complain when such a gift is bestowed on their city.
Love blossoms among couples, many people have their own fantasies which take place during rains, there is a Telugu movie completely based on RAIN - VASRHAM starred by Bahubali hero Prabhas, which was super hit, some enjoy having pakodas during rain, some enjoy sipping tea, some enjoy their coffee and many enjoy the TATA SKY message that your TV is not receiving signals as there are heavy rains outside- don't be a lazy bum, please go and enjoy the rains.
I really am disconnected why we were taught at such tender age where in, we as a kid love to drench in rain, make paper boats and play in the rain water hardly bothered about fever or any other illness. I always say
RAIN RAIN MAKE MY DAY
COME AGAIN IF POSSIBLE ALTERNATE DAY
RAIN RAIN MAKE MY DAY
LITTLE NAUGHTY KRISHNA WANTS TO PLAY
